Synopsis
A son asked for his inheritance before its time and left for a faraway land. He spent everything, lost everything, and came to long for the pigs' food. When he came to his senses, he decided to return to his father — not as a son, but as a servant. But the father saw him from afar, ran to meet him, and ordered a feast to be prepared. This is the parable Jesus told to explain how God receives us when we return.
