Synopsis
Even before he was born, Samson was consecrated to God. His hair, never cut, was the outward sign of an inner commitment — and along with that sign came an extraordinary strength. With his bare hands he struck down a lion. With the jawbone of a donkey he drove off a thousand Philistines. But the strength hardest to control was always that of his own heart.
Delilah asked a thousand times for the secret of Samson's strength, until he, weary, told her. When he awoke without his hair, the strength was gone — but the worst was not the physical weakness. It was realizing he had traded God's gift for a moment of weakness. In prison, humiliated and blind, Samson prayed once more. And God, who never abandons those who return, answered one last time.
In the OwLira book, Samson and the Strength is told in five illustrated chapters, with the owl mascot accompanying each teaching pause. The child learns that true strength is born from within, and that returning to God is always possible — even after the greatest falls.
